West Pavilion Update -July 2012
Today, installation of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems is nearly complete. Construction on the 96 private patient rooms, all with private baths, is well under way. Over the summer, wall coverings and flooring will be laid down, and by fall, the West Pavilion will be ready to welcome its first patients. We are energized by the possibilties of the new West Pavilion, and the opportunity to elevate the care and services available to residents of Southwest Chicagoland.
At the same time, we feel sentimental about our past, and-like many of you-hold fast to our memories of joy and loss in the Tower Building. For that reason, we move into this new era firmly tethered to our past. A Heritage Corridor in the new Pavilion will house important artifiacts from our history. In addition, the Porte Cochere, inscribed with the names of Little Company of Mary Sisters who founded the hospital in 1929, is scheduled to be incorporated into the final landscape design.
We look forward to welcoming you to the new Pavilion this October, and thank you for your faith in our mission and commitement to deliver personalized, compasssionate care to all those we serve. This is a moment six years coming and 83 years in the making, and we are so grateful to all who have shared in this journey.
If you have any additional questions or concerns, please feel free to contact our Marketing Director, Kelly Cusack, at 708.229.5049 or kcusack@LCMH.org.
We look forward to all that lies ahead for Little Company of Mary Hospital as we continue to serve our community.
Sincerely
Kevin Rehder

The Campus Transformation Project at Little Company of Mary is moving forward _ and moving indoors. This winter, bricks, windows and other finishing touches were added to the exterior of the new West Pavilion. With that phase of construction complete, the focus shifted to the building?s interior.
